The Professor meets a man who collects elements and "builds" periodic table displays.
New sing-along (rap-along?) version of "These are the Elements" with handy visual reminders from the periodic table. Can you remember them all? (If so, can you do it with your eyes closed?)Lyrics are on the original full version:
Hank gives us a tour of the most important table ever, including the life story of the obsessive man who championed it, Dmitri Mendeleev. The periodic table of elements is a concise, information-dense catalog of all of the different sorts of atoms in the universe, and it has a wealth of information to tell us if we can learn to read it.Like Crash Course? http://www.facebook.com/YouTubeCrashCourseFollow Crash Course! http://www.twitter.com/TheCrashCourseTumbl Crash Course: http://thecrashcourse.tumblr.c

In this theory the elements of the Periodic Table are standing waves over a period of time. Time is continuously being formed by the spontaneous absorption and emission of light waves of EMR. This forms a universal process of spherical symmetry forming and breaking that forms the spiral patterns we see in our everyday life with each element of the Periodic Table having a set position forming the curvature of these spirals. With Hydrogen at the centre a Spiral Periodic Table with the noble gases and the diff

http://digg.com/d319UMb Is there an easy way to memorize all 112 elements? Yes, there is. You could make up a melody, and sing them. Melody is a great mnemonic device. The idea was used by Carleton University professor Bob Burk, to encourage his students interest in Chemistry. He would give extra marks to those students who could memorize all 112 elements, and sing them in front of a 500+ class. Great idea, and very entertaining.

(Martyn Poliakoff).
